ISLAMABAD: Chinese and Pakistani companies are moving forward to deepen collaboration under an existing memorandum of understanding (MoU), with a major focus on developing a 2,800-acre industrial and commercial hub in Nooriabad and expanding investments across key sectors.
Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, chaired a high-level meeting with a delegation including Xiong Xianglong, Chen Meifen, Danish Ahmed, and Ahsan Jabbar.
During the discussions, the Oasis Group presented its ongoing and upcoming projects, including Oasis Resorts Lahore and a portfolio of industrial, residential, and commercial developments. A key highlight was the proposed Oasis Sino Pak Global Village in Nooriabad, envisioned as a flagship initiative to boost industrial activity and attract foreign investment.
Officials noted that the Kunlun Group and Oasis Group had originally signed their MoU during a business-to-business conference in September 2025. Both sides now aim to expand cooperation into sectors such as agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.
The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to facilitating foreign investors, particularly Chinese enterprises, by improving the ease of doing business and strengthening investment frameworks. He also highlighted opportunities within Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones, positioning them as key drivers for industrial growth and international partnerships.
The meeting concluded with assurances of full government support to accelerate project implementation and unlock Pakistan’s broader economic potential through strategic foreign investment.
